DisplayPort-DVI-adapterikaapeli Sharkoon 0,15 m valkoinen — DisplayPort 1.2 - DVI

The Sharkoon DisplayPort to DVI adapter cable (0.15 m, white) converts a DisplayPort 1.2 output to a DVI connection, creating a compact link between DisplayPort-equipped sources and DVI displays. At 15 cm length this adapter cable is intended for short-distance connections where a tidy, low-profile connection is required, for example between a graphics card, laptop or docking station and a monitor or projector with DVI input.

Advantages

This adapter cable supports DisplayPort 1.2 signal output to a DVI display, enabling digital video transmission without the need for a separate bulky adapter box. The short 0.15 m cable reduces cable clutter and strain on ports while providing a stable fixed connection. Its white finish blends with pale-coloured setups and helps keep the installation discreet. The compact design is convenient for desk setups, media cabinets and mobile use with laptops or docking stations.

Suitable for

• Connecting a desktop PC or graphics card with DisplayPort to a DVI monitor
• Linking a laptop or docking station with DisplayPort output to a DVI projector
• Short, tidy connections behind monitors or in compact workstations
• Situations where space near ports is limited and a long cable is unnecessary

Key specifications

• Connector A: DisplayPort (male)
• Connector B: DVI (female)
• DisplayPort standard supported: 1.2
• Cable length: 0.15 m
• Colour: white
• Function: video signal conversion from DisplayPort to DVI

How to use

Insert the DisplayPort male connector into the DisplayPort output of the source device until it clicks into place. Connect the DVI-equipped display using a compatible DVI cable to the DVI female connector on the adapter. Power on the source and display, then select the correct input on the monitor or projector if necessary. The adapter will pass the video signal; adjust resolution and refresh rate in the source device settings to match the DVI display capabilities.

Recommendations

Use this short adapter cable for stable, low-profile connections where only video transmission is required. For audio transmission or longer distances consider using alternative adapters, active converters or an appropriate cable. Avoid excessive bending near the connector and ensure both connectors are fully seated before powering devices.
