DisplayPort-VGA-sovitin ROLINE 12.03.3146

The ROLINE DisplayPort-VGA Adapter (v1.2) enables connection of a VGA monitor to a DisplayPort output. It features a male DisplayPort connector and a female VGA connector, with a short integrated cable of approximately 10 cm. DisplayPort 1.2 support allows higher resolutions, increased refresh rates and greater color depth when used with compatible hardware. Note that the adapter is unidirectional: the DisplayPort plug must be connected to the source device (for example a graphics card).

Advantages

This compact adapter provides a straightforward solution to connect legacy VGA displays to modern DisplayPort outputs without additional drivers. Its DisplayPort 1.2 compatibility helps preserve image quality where the source supports higher bandwidth. The adapter’s small form factor makes it easy to carry and install in confined spaces.

Suitable for

• Connecting a DisplayPort-equipped graphics card or laptop to a VGA monitor
• Using older projectors or displays with modern PCs
• Temporary workstation setups or meetings where VGA displays are present

Key specifications

• Connectors: DisplayPort Male to VGA (HD-15) Female
• Cable length: approximately 10 cm
• DisplayPort version: 1.2
• Direction: DisplayPort (source) → VGA (display) only
• Brand: ROLINE, MPN: 12.03.3146, EAN: 7611990135790

How to use

Plug the DisplayPort male connector into the DisplayPort output of your source device (for example a graphics card or laptop). Connect a VGA cable from the adapter’s VGA female connector to the VGA input on the monitor or projector. Ensure the source device is powered on and set the display output settings in the operating system if necessary. The adapter does not convert signals in the reverse direction; it will not work if the VGA device is used as the source.

Recommendations

Use a good-quality VGA cable for the connection to minimize signal loss. For resolutions and refresh rates higher than standard VGA limits, verify that both the source device and the display support the desired settings. If image quality is insufficient, consider using a native digital connection (e.g., DisplayPort to DisplayPort) or an active converter designed for bidirectional or signal-enhancing conversion.
