Edelrid Heron Eco Dry 9.8 mm 70 m dynaaminen kiipeilyköysi - Fire

Most ropes force a compromise: either you get a light, supple cord for hard sends or a burly workhorse that shrugs off abuse. The Edelrid Heron Eco Dry 9.8 mm breaks that pattern, pairing a remarkably low weight with a durable, eco-conscious construction. Its bluesign®-certified yarns and PFC-free dry treatment mean you can climb hard without leaving a chemical footprint. The 70-metre length in the striking Fire colour is ready for long sport pitches and multi-pitch adventures where every gram counts.

Highlights

• 9.8 mm diameter – ideal balance of handling, durability, and low weight
• Eco Dry treatment – PFC-free, water-repellent, and abrasion-resistant
• bluesign® certified sheath and core – sustainable production
• 70 m length – suited for long routes and rope-stretching crags
• Fire colour – high visibility for easy rope management

In daily use

The Heron Eco Dry feels confident in hand from the first clip. Its supple handling reduces rope drag on wandering routes, while the dry-treated sheath shrugs off light moisture and grit. The 9.8 mm diameter is slim enough for redpoint attempts yet robust enough for regular projecting. Onsighting in the Verdon Gorge or working a project at your local crag, this rope delivers consistent performance.
