ELOTOUCH TYCO HEL-4874.1 kaapelinhaaraliitin rengas (F06688-000)

Telecom installers and low-voltage electricians use this cable tap connector ring to branch a two-conductor cable without cutting or stripping the main wire. The insulation displacement contacts pierce the insulation and make a reliable connection to the tap wire in one motion.

Key specifications

• Connector type: Cable tap connector
• Connection technology: Insulation displacement connector (IDC)
• Number of conductors: 2
• Wire gauge range (main and tap): 0.4 - 0.9 mm² (26 - 19 AWG)
• Voltage rating: 250 V
• Insulation material: Polycarbonate (PC)
• Contact material: Tin-plated brass
• Colour: Transparent
• Operating temperature range: -40°C to +80°C
• Mounting type: In-line cable mount
• Stripping required: No
• Reusability: Single use

Why choose it

The transparent polycarbonate housing lets you visually confirm the connection before closing the cover. IDC technology saves time on site because no wire stripping is needed, and the compact design fits into tight junction boxes or cable ducts.

Ideal use cases

• Branching signal or low-voltage power lines in building automation
• Adding a tap point to an existing two-wire telecom cable
• Quick field repairs where minimal downtime is critical

Good to know

This connector is intended for single use. The tap wire is inserted perpendicular to the main cable, and the cover snaps shut to complete the insulation displacement connection.
