Ethernet-jatkokaapeli Renkforce 1464707 RJ45 Cat 5e 1 m musta

The Renkforce Ethernet extension cable 1464707 is a 1 m RJ45 Cat 5e cable in black designed to extend an existing network connection. It provides Cat 5e performance for typical home and office Ethernet networks and allows a quick, plug-and-play extension of an RJ45 link between devices such as routers, switches, PCs and other networked equipment when a short additional reach is required.

Advantages

This extension cable offers reliable Cat 5e data transmission characteristics in a compact 1 metre length, making it convenient for tidy cable routing and short link adjustments. The RJ45 connectors ensure straightforward compatibility with standard Ethernet ports and eliminate the need to reterminate existing cables. The black jacket provides a discreet appearance suitable for most home and office environments, and the flexible cable body simplifies placement behind furniture and racks.

Suitable for

• Extending an Ethernet connection between a router and a nearby device
• Connecting a switch to a PC or networked peripheral when the existing cable is slightly short
• Temporary or permanent short-distance patching in home or small office networks
• Linking IP devices such as printers, set-top boxes or media players to a local network

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ45 male to RJ45 male
• Cable category: Cat 5e (suitable for Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet up to Cat 5e performance)
• Length: 1 m
• Colour: Black
• Typical use: Ethernet extension / patch cable for short distances

How to use

To use the extension cable, insert one RJ45 connector into the existing network cable or device port and the other RJ45 connector into the device that requires the extended reach. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure physical connection. No configuration or drivers are required; the cable functions as a passive extension within the supported Ethernet standard. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable and ensure connectors remain free of dust or debris.

Recommendations

Use this 1 m Cat 5e extension for short-distance adjustments where a slight additional length is needed. For runs longer than a few metres or where higher shielding and performance are required, consider appropriate longer Cat 5e, Cat 6 or shielded cables. Keep the cable routed away from strong electromagnetic sources and avoid tight bends to maintain signal quality.
