Ethernet-kaapeli ShiverPeaks CAT5E S-FTP 100MHz, 100 m rulla, 2x4 AWG24 johdin

ShiverPeaks CAT5E S-FTP Ethernet cable on a 100 m reel is designed for data networks operating up to 100 MHz. The cable features two groups of four AWG24 conductors and S-FTP shielding — an overall braid plus foil around each pair — to reduce near-end crosstalk and improve protection against electromagnetic interference. Its construction supports structured cabling, horizontal and backbone LAN runs in offices, data closets and residential installations where Cat5e performance is required.

Advantages

The S-FTP design provides increased immunity to external electromagnetic interference and minimizes pair-to-pair crosstalk compared with unshielded cables. AWG24 conductors ensure consistent signal transmission over typical LAN distances while the 100 m reel format simplifies deployment and cable management for larger installations. The cable's gray halogen-free jacket is intended for indoor use in environments that require low smoke and low halogen characteristics.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in office and residential buildings
• Horizontal LAN runs to workstations and access points
• Backbone and riser connections within floors or between data rooms
• Environments needing improved EMI protection compared with UTP

Key specifications

• Category: Cat5e, performance up to 100 MHz
• Conductor configuration: 2 groups x 4 conductors, AWG24
• Shielding: S-FTP — overall braided shield plus foil around each pair
• Length: 100 m reel
• Jacket: halogen-free, indoor use
• Color: gray

How to use

Install the cable following structured cabling best practices: unroll from the reel carefully to avoid kinks, route through cable trays or conduits as required, and maintain recommended bend radius to preserve signal integrity. Terminate the cable with compatible RJ45 connectors or keystone jacks that support shielded pairs and ensure the shield continuity is connected to the grounding system. Test each run with appropriate certification or qualification tools to verify performance to Cat5e standards.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep separation from high-voltage power lines, avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling tension during installation, and use shielded connectors and properly grounded patch panels when deploying S-FTP cable in environments with significant electromagnetic noise.
