Its gray finish and rack-mountable dimensions make it compatible with professional network racks and patch panel installations.

Advantages

The front cover provides mechanical protection for internal components and contributes to a tidy, professional appearance for rack-mounted breakout boxes. It supports standardized mounting in 19" racks, simplifies port identification with a flat surface suitable for labels, and combines metal and plastic construction for a balance of rigidity and weight savings.

Suitable for

• Mounting on 19" (48.3 cm) rack enclosures for fiber/cable breakout modules
• Professional patch panel and cabling installations in server rooms and telecommunication closets
• Environments where a clean, secure front faceplate is required to protect internal wiring and components

Key specifications

• Form factor: 19" (48.3 cm) rack-mountable front cover
• Material: metal and plastic construction
• Color/finish: gray
• Compatibility: designed for use with breakout boxes and module-based fiber/cable assemblies
• Mounting: rack-compatible mounting points for standard 19" enclosures

How to use

Align the front cover with the mounting points on the 19" breakout box or rack enclosure, ensuring the cover's bolt holes match the chassis threaded inserts or cage nuts. Secure the panel using appropriate rack screws or fasteners. Use the flat surface to attach adhesive or printed labels to identify ports and fiber strands. When installing modules behind the cover, check for correct cable routing and strain relief before closing the front panel to avoid pinching or stress on fiber connectors.

Recommendations

Inspect mounting hardware and cable clearances before installation. Use compatible rack screws and avoid over-tightening to prevent deformation. Keep the front cover clean and label ports clearly for easier maintenance and reduced handling of internal components.
