Extend your USB 3.2 Gen 1 connection across a full 10 metres without signal loss—ideal for offices, classrooms, and industrial setups where devices need to be placed far from the host computer. The EXSYS EX-K1680 is an active USB extension cable with a built-in signal repeater, ensuring reliable 5 Gbit/s data transfer over long distances. Connect a USB-A male plug to your PC or laptop, and plug your existing USB device into the female end. The blue PVC jacket is durable and easy to identify in crowded cable runs.

Why choose it

Unlike passive USB cables that lose signal after a few metres, this active extension cable maintains full SuperSpeed performance across the entire 10-metre span. The integrated repeater regenerates the signal, so you can place printers, scanners, webcams, or external drives exactly where you need them—even in another part of the room. It’s fully bus-powered, so there’s no extra adapter to plug in, and the plug-and-play design means it works immediately with any compatible system.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting a USB device in a server room or rack where the host is far away
• Extending a webcam or microphone for video conferencing in large meeting rooms
• Reaching a USB printer or scanner on an adjacent desk or shelf
• Industrial automation and control panels that require long USB runs
• Digital signage or kiosk setups where the media player is hidden

Good to know

The cable is backward compatible with older USB standards, so you can use it with USB 2.0 devices at reduced speeds. The double shielding and high-quality copper conductors reduce electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable data transfer even in electrically noisy environments. The blue colour makes it easy to distinguish from other cables, and the robust PVC jacket withstands frequent handling.
