FireWire A/B -kaapeli DeLOCK 82594 3,0 m harmaa

The DeLOCK FireWire A/B Cable (82594) is a 3.0 m grey cable with a 9‑pin (FireWire A) connector on one end and a 4‑pin (FireWire B) connector on the other. It allows connection of FireWire devices with a 4‑pin port — such as camcorders and external enclosures — to a computer or host with a 9‑pin FireWire interface, enabling high‑speed data transfer between compatible devices.

Advantages

The cable provides a stable wired connection between 4‑pin FireWire devices and 9‑pin FireWire ports, supports high‑speed data transfer typical for FireWire interfaces, and its 3.0 m length offers flexible placement of connected devices. Both ends have male connectors for direct device-to-host connection, and the grey jacket helps visually match neutral system setups.

Suitable for

• Connecting camcorders with 4‑pin FireWire output to PCs or workstations with 9‑pin FireWire ports
• Attaching external hard drive enclosures or audio interfaces with 4‑pin FireWire to host systems
• Transferring recorded video or large data files between FireWire devices and computers

Key specifications

• Length: 3.0 m
• Connectors: 9‑pin male (FireWire A) to 4‑pin male (FireWire B)
• Color: Grey
• Brand: DELOCK
• Manufacturer Part Number (MPN): 82594
• EAN: 4043619825943

How to use

Plug the 4‑pin male connector into the FireWire port of the device (for example, a camcorder or external enclosure) and connect the 9‑pin male connector to the FireWire port on the computer or host controller. Ensure both devices are powered on and recognized by the operating system; install any required device drivers if prompted. For safe disconnect, stop data transfer and unmount the device in the OS before unplugging the cable.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable, keep connectors clean and dry, and store the cable coiled without tight knots when not in use. Use the cable with devices that explicitly support FireWire A/B connector types to ensure compatibility.
