FireWire-kaapeli ShiverPeaks 77302 — 9-napainen IEEE 1394b -pistoke

The ShiverPeaks FireWire cable 77302 features a 9-pin IEEE 1394b connector on both ends and is engineered for high-speed serial data transfer between compatible devices. With a 1.8 m length and support for FireWire 800 (up to 800 Mbit/s), it is intended for connecting camcorders, external hard drives, audio interfaces and other equipment that requires a 9-pin 1394b interface. The cable construction and connector design aim to provide a reliable link for sustained data streams in audio, video and data-transfer workflows.

Advantages

The ShiverPeaks 9-pin FireWire cable supports higher throughput and lower latency compared to older 1394a variants thanks to the IEEE 1394b specification and FireWire 800 compatibility. Its 1.8 m length offers flexible placement of connected devices without excessive slack. The robust 9-pin connectors provide stable mechanical contact for frequent connect/disconnect cycles that occur in studio and field use.

Suitable for

• Connecting DV and HDV camcorders with a 9-pin FireWire port to recording or editing systems
• Linking external FireWire 800 hard drives for fast data backup and transfer
• Connecting professional audio interfaces and digital multi-track recorders that use 1394b
• Transferring large video files between compatible devices in field or studio environments

Key specifications

• Connector type: 9-pin IEEE 1394b (FireWire 800) connectors on both ends
• Data transfer rate: up to 800 Mbit/s (FireWire 800)
• Cable length: 1.8 m
• Compatibility: devices supporting the 1394b / FireWire 800 standard
• Use case: digital audio, video capture, external storage connectivity

How to use

Connect one 9-pin IEEE 1394b connector to the FireWire port of the source device (for example a camcorder or external drive) and the other connector to the target device (for example a computer interface, recorder or drive enclosure). Ensure both devices are powered according to their manufacturer instructions before initiating data transfer. Use the operating system or application software to recognise and mount the connected device; then proceed with recording, editing or file transfer as required.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable. When using in professional audio or video setups, connect and disconnect devices with power off when possible to prevent transient issues. Store the cable coiled without tight loops to prolong connector and conductor life.
