FUJITSU-päivityssarja 4X 2.5 PY-BA24SG — päivityssarja 2,5 tuuman laitteille, malli PY-BA24SG

The FUJITSU Upgrade Kit 4X 2.5 PY-BA24SG is an installation kit designed to mount up to four 2.5-inch drives into compatible Fujitsu server and storage enclosures. The kit contains the mechanical brackets, sleds and fastening components necessary to integrate replacement or additional SSDs/HDDs into supported systems, allowing orderly installation and straightforward removal for maintenance or replacement.

Advantages

This upgrade kit standardizes drive installation across compatible Fujitsu bays, reducing installation time and ensuring secure mechanical fit. Components are made to align with Fujitsu chassis tolerances, which helps maintain proper airflow and drive positioning. The kit supports easier hot-swap and replacement operations when used with enclosures that provide drive hot-swap capability.

Suitable for

• Expanding storage capacity in Fujitsu servers and storage arrays
• Replacing failed 2.5" drives in compatible enclosures
• Preparing systems for SSD upgrades to improve performance
• Data center maintenance tasks that require standardized drive mounting

Key specifications

• Compatible drive form factor: 2.5-inch drives (HDD or SSD)
• Capacity supported: dependent on installed drives (no limit imposed by kit)
• Mounting components included: drive sleds/brackets and fastening hardware
• Intended enclosure compatibility: Fujitsu 2.5" drive bays and compatible chassis
• Material characteristics: metal and plastic mounting parts designed for chassis integration

How to use

Confirm compatibility between the Fujitsu enclosure and the upgrade kit before beginning. Power down the system or follow the chassis manufacturer’s hot-swap procedure if supported. Mount each 2.5" drive into a provided sled or bracket using the supplied fasteners, then insert the assembled units into the targeted drive bays until they engage. Secure any bay latches or retention mechanisms and restore power or verify drive recognition through the system management interface. Follow standard drive initialization and RAID configuration steps as required by your environment.

Recommendations

Use OEM-recommended drives and verify firmware compatibility with your server or storage controller. Handle drives and mounting parts in an ESD-safe environment and torque fasteners to the chassis manufacturer’s specifications. For minimal downtime, perform drive additions or replacements during scheduled maintenance windows and ensure backups are current before replacing drives.
