gira DALI Gateway Colour 2f REG KNX Secure – REG-yhdyskäytävä DALI-valaistuksen ohjaukseen (malli 211200)

gira DALI Gateway Colour 2f REG KNX Secure is a DIN-rail gateway that links KNX automation to DALI colour lighting systems. Designed for integration in electrical distribution panels, the device enables control of DALI colour fixtures via the KNX bus. It supports scene management, dimming and colour control from KNX user interfaces and logic, allowing centralised operation of tunable-white and RGB/RGBW luminaires within commercial and residential installations.

Advantages

The gateway provides reliable protocol translation between KNX and DALI colour control while meeting KNX Secure requirements for authenticated communication. Its DIN-rail form factor simplifies installation in distribution boards and switch cabinets. With support for two DALI lines, it accommodates multiple DALI colour luminaires and groups, enabling flexible scene and colour management without additional controllers. The device is intended for system integrators and installers requiring a compact, interoperable interface for unified lighting control.

Key specifications

How to use

Mount the DALI Gateway Colour 2f REG on a standard DIN rail in the electrical distribution cabinet and connect the KNX bus to the gateway’s KNX terminal. Wire the two DALI lines to the DALI output terminals and connect individual DALI colour luminaires or drivers according to DALI installation guidelines. Commission the device using KNX programming tools and the DALI addressing procedure to assign luminaires, groups and scenes. After commissioning, control of dimming, colour temperature and colour channels is performed from KNX user interfaces, logic or visualisation systems.

Recommendations

Ensure that DALI luminaires and drivers used are compatible with colour control functions required for the project (tunable-white, RGB or RGBW). Follow KNX Secure commissioning procedures and maintain separation of power and control wiring in the distribution cabinet. For larger DALI installations, consider line length and device count per DALI line to remain within protocol limits and ensure stable operation.
