gira Schuko socket with lock model 456730 (KD) is a flush-mount compatible Type F mains outlet with an integrated keyed locking mechanism. Designed to restrict access to the power supply, the unit is supplied in grey and fits standard flush mounting installations. The keyed lock permits authorized users to enable the socket while preventing accidental or unauthorized plug-in, making it appropriate for environments that require controlled access to electrical power.

Advantages

The keyed locking mechanism provides physical access control for a standard Schuko socket without altering wiring or outlet function. Flush-mount compatibility allows installation into typical wall boxes and panels, maintaining a low-profile appearance. The unit’s grey finish offers a neutral aesthetic that blends with many interior schemes. It retains all electrical characteristics of a regular Type F Schuko socket while adding the security of a lock.

When it may not be suitable

This locked Schuko socket is not suitable where free, immediate access to mains power is required by multiple users or in emergency scenarios where locking could delay response. It is also not intended to provide electrical isolation for maintenance; standard circuit isolation procedures should be followed when servicing.
