For maximum stability in windy conditions, hang a weight from the hook under the top casting (if available) or use a dedicated stone bag. When shooting on soft ground, replace the rubber feet with optional spikes for a secure grip. Regularly clean the leg locks and apply a light lubricant to keep them operating smoothly.
