GL.iNet Beryl AX GL-MT3000 tasku-Wi-Fi-6-matkareititin, AX3000 Dual-Band, 2,5G WAN, 1G LAN, USB 3.0, OpenWrt, VPN, WireGuard, OpenVPN, WPA3, AdGuard Home

For travellers and remote workers who refuse to compromise on speed or security, the GL.iNet Beryl AX (GL-MT3000) delivers enterprise-grade connectivity in a pocket-sized form. Unlike typical travel routers that cap out at Wi-Fi 5 or rely on a single gigabit port, this device pairs a 2.5 Gigabit WAN with Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 performance, ensuring your connection stays fast whether you're in a hotel, on a train, or at a temporary office. Pre-installed with OpenWrt and backed by a quad-core MediaTek Filogic 830 processor, it offers the flexibility to run advanced VPN clients, ad blocking, and custom firewall rules without breaking a sweat.

Highlights

• Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) dual-band with combined speeds up to 3000 Mbps (574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz + 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz)
• One 2.5 Gigabit WAN port and one Gigabit LAN port for high-speed wired backhaul or local devices
• USB 3.0 port for sharing files, tethering a 4G/5G modem, or connecting external storage
• Pre-installed OpenWrt (21.02+) with full access to package repositories and LuCI web interface
• Built-in WireGuard and OpenVPN support (client and server) for secure remote access and privacy
• WPA3 encryption, DNS over TLS, and AdGuard Home compatibility for a safer browsing experience
• Compact, lightweight design (fits in a shirt pocket) with internal 2x2 MIMO antennas
• Powered via USB-C (5V/3A) – can be run from a power bank, laptop, or included adapter

In daily use

Set up takes minutes: connect the Beryl AX to your hotel's Ethernet or Wi-Fi, and it instantly creates a private, encrypted network for all your devices. The 2.5G WAN port means you can take full advantage of multi-gig internet connections in modern apartments or co-working spaces, while the Gigabit LAN port lets you hook up a smart TV, game console, or NAS without a separate switch. The USB 3.0 port is a lifesaver for road warriors – plug in a 4G/5G dongle for cellular backup, or attach a USB drive to stream media to every connected device. With OpenWrt, you can install packages like AdGuard Home to block ads and trackers at the network level, or set up policy-based routing to send specific traffic through a VPN tunnel while letting other devices use the direct connection.
