GoodConnections Alcasa 25m Cat6 S/FTP RJ-45 patchkaapeli – violetti (8060-250V)

Setting up a small office or home network often calls for a dependable link between a wall outlet and a workstation. The GoodConnections Alcasa Cat6 S/FTP patch cable in violet provides a 25-metre run of shielded twisted pair copper, ready to connect a laptop, desktop, or IP camera to a switch, router, or patch panel. Its male-to-male RJ-45 connectors make it a straight choice for structured cabling where interference from nearby power lines or machinery could otherwise affect signal quality.

Why choose it

The dual-layer S/FTP shielding keeps each twisted pair isolated from the others and from outside interference. This makes the cable well suited for running next to power cables, in machine rooms, or anywhere electromagnetic noise is a concern. The violet jacket is also an aid to cable management—when multiple cables are bundled together, the distinctive colour helps you trace the right run quickly. Cat6 performance means you are not limited to 1 Gbit/s; the same cable can support 10 Gbit/s over short distances, making it a future-friendly investment.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting a computer, printer, or IP camera to a wall outlet or switch
• Linking network switches to patch panels in server rooms and comms cabinets
• Creating a temporary high-speed connection between two devices
• Providing a long drop to a Wi‑Fi access point or a network-attached storage device

Good to know

Because Cat6 is backward compatible with Cat5e and Cat5, this cable will work with older Ethernet hardware without any special configuration. For 10GBASE-T applications, Cat6 is typically rated for 55 metres in normal installations, so a 25-metre cable is comfortably inside that range. There are no plugs to assemble—the RJ-45 connectors are already fitted—so you can lay the cable and plug in immediately. The 25-metre length gives you enough reach to route around obstacles or through walls while still avoiding the signal loss that comes from joining multiple shorter cables.
