GoodConnections RNS® Cat. 6A S/FTP -patchkaapeli lukitussuojalla, halogeeniton, vihreä, 15 m

In a busy data center, a network technician reaches for a green patch cable to connect a server to a 10 Gigabit switch. The GoodConnections RNS® Cat. 6A S/FTP patch cable is built for exactly this: reliable high-speed links with protection against accidental disconnection. Its latch protection prevents the locking tab from snagging or breaking when routing through dense cable management, while the halogen-free jacket keeps the environment safe in case of fire.

Key specifications

• Category: Cat. 6A (Class EA) – supports 10GBASE-T up to 500 MHz
• Shielding: S/FTP with PiMF (pairs in metal foil) for superior crosstalk resistance
• Length: 15 meters – ideal for longer runs in racks or between rooms
• Colour: Green – easy identification in complex installations
• Connectors: RJ45 male to RJ45 male, gold-plated contacts, 50 µm
• Conductor: 27/7 AWG stranded copper, flexible and durable
• Jacket: Halogen-free LSZH, flame retardant per IEC 60332-1
• Wiring: TIA/EIA 568B, impedance 100 Ohm

Why choose it

The RNS® latch protection is a game-changer: it shields the connector’s locking tab from snagging, yet still allows easy release with a simple press. Combined with Cat. 6A performance, this cable delivers 10 Gigabit speeds without interference, even in electrically noisy environments. The halogen-free jacket means less toxic smoke and corrosive gases in the event of fire, making it suitable for public buildings and data centers with strict safety regulations.

Ideal use cases

• Data center patching between servers and 10G switches
• Office network upgrades to 10GBASE-T
• Industrial environments requiring robust, halogen-free cabling
• Long-distance connections up to 15 meters without signal loss

Good to know

This cable is fully backward compatible with Cat. 5e and Cat. 6 networks, so it works with existing equipment. The stranded conductors provide flexibility for frequent re-routing, while the PiMF shielding ensures minimal alien crosstalk. For best performance, pair with Cat. 6A shielded connectors and patch panels. The green colour aids in quick identification of specific network segments.
