GrauGear PCIe x4 USB-C 3.2 Gen2x2 laajennuskortti G-PCI-C-20G

The GrauGear PCIe x4 USB-C 3.2 Gen2x2 Expansion Card G-PCI-C-20G is an internal interface card that adds a single USB‑C 3.2 Gen2x2 port to desktop PCs and workstations via a PCIe x4 slot. Designed to provide up to 20 Gbps host connectivity, the card enables high‑speed connections for external NVMe enclosures, high‑performance docks and other peripherals that benefit from a wide USB‑C bandwidth. Installation requires an available PCIe x4 slot and offers a compact solution to modernize systems lacking native USB‑C 3.2 Gen2x2 support.

Advantages

This expansion card delivers a high‑throughput USB‑C interface capable of supporting fast data transfers up to 20 Gbps. Its PCIe x4 connection provides the required lane bandwidth while keeping latency low for external storage and peripherals. The single USB‑C port offers broad device compatibility including NVMe enclosures, docking stations and charging peripherals that negotiate over USB‑C. The card’s internal design keeps the external ports consolidated on the system chassis, avoiding the need for external adapters or hubs.

Suitable for

• Adding a high‑speed USB‑C port to older desktops or workstations
• Connecting external NVMe enclosures and fast external storage
• Using USB‑C docks and multi‑port adapters that require Gen2x2 bandwidth
• Upgrading systems used for content creation, data transfer and backups

Key specifications

• Interface: PCI Express x4 host connection
• External port: USB‑C supporting USB 3.2 Gen2x2 up to 20 Gbps
• Supported device types: external NVMe enclosures, docks, peripherals compatible with USB‑C Gen2x2
• Form factor: internal expansion card for standard desktop chassis
• Power: draws required power from the PCIe slot (check system power budget for high‑power devices)

How to use

Power down the computer and open the chassis according to the system manufacturer’s instructions. Insert the card into an available PCIe x4 (or higher) slot and secure it to the case using the slot bracket screw. Reconnect any internal cables if required and close the chassis. Power on the system and install any necessary drivers provided by the operating system or the card manufacturer. After drivers are installed, connect USB‑C devices to the external port and verify recognized speeds and device functionality through the operating system’s device manager or storage tools.

Recommendations

For best performance, install the card into a native PCIe x4 or higher slot and ensure system BIOS and operating system support for USB 3.2 Gen2x2. Use quality USB‑C cables rated for Gen2x2 bandwidth to achieve 20 Gbps transfers. When connecting high‑power external devices, confirm the host system’s power delivery capability and consider direct enclosure power or powered docks where appropriate.
