Hallitsematon kytkin NETGEAR GS108GE, 8 porttia, Gigabit Ethernet, 16 Gbit/s

The NETGEAR GS108GE is an unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch with 8 RJ-45 ports designed to deliver full, dedicated 1000/100/10 Mbps connections for small networks. With a switching capacity of 16 Gbit/s and support for IEEE 802.3ab, 802.3u and 802.3i standards, it enables fast file transfers and straightforward integration of 10/100/1000 Mbps devices. The compact, fanless design provides quiet operation and fits neatly into constrained workspaces.

Advantages

The GS108GE offers plug-and-play simplicity without configuration, a robust 16 Gbit/s switching capacity, and full-duplex Gigabit performance across all eight ports. Its unmanaged design requires no management software, while the 8000-entry MAC address table ensures reliable device learning and traffic forwarding. The fanless housing reduces noise and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Small office or home office (SOHO) networks
• Connecting multiple wired devices: PCs, NAS, printers, IP cameras
• Expanding network ports for workgroups or home entertainment setups

How to use

Place the GS108GE on a stable surface or mount it according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Connect power, then plug network cables from your router, switch, or devices into the RJ-45 ports. Devices will negotiate link speed automatically (10/100/1000 Mbps) and operate in full duplex when supported. No configuration is required; the switch begins forwarding traffic once connected.

Recommendations

The switch is intended for small wired networks; for environments requiring traffic management, VLANs, or advanced security, choose a managed switch model. Keep ventilation clear around the fanless enclosure and place the unit away from heat sources to ensure reliable operation.
