Hallittava kytkin Grandstream GWN7801P Pro L2++ 8x 1Gb RJ45, PoE+, SFP, DHCP, CLI, VLAN

The Grandstream GWN7801P Pro L2++ is a managed network switch designed for small to medium business deployments that require reliable wired connectivity and PoE power delivery. It includes eight 1 Gb/s RJ45 ports with PoE+ capability and an SFP slot for fiber uplink, offering Layer 2++ features such as VLAN segmentation, DHCP support and a command-line interface for flexible configuration and integration into existing networks.

Advantages

This switch delivers both data and power over standard Ethernet cabling, enabling centralized deployment of powered devices such as IP phones, wireless access points and surveillance cameras without the need for separate power supplies. The SFP uplink option allows integration with fiber backbones for increased distance and resilience. Layer 2++ management features, including VLAN and DHCP handling plus CLI access, enable granular traffic control, simplified network segmentation and compatibility with common network management workflows.

Suitable for

• Small and medium office networks requiring PoE for endpoints
• VoIP deployments with centralized power and traffic segmentation
• Wireless access point aggregation and fiber uplink to a core switch
• Edge connectivity for IP surveillance cameras and access control devices

Key specifications

• Eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports with PoE+ power delivery on supported ports
• One SFP slot for gigabit fiber uplink
• Layer 2++ feature set with VLAN support and DHCP handling
• Command-line interface (CLI) for configuration and scripting
• Managed switch capabilities for traffic control and monitoring

How to use

Install the switch in a rack or on a flat surface in a ventilated location and connect it to the network backbone using either the SFP uplink or one of the RJ45 ports. Connect end devices to the RJ45 ports; PoE-capable devices will receive power automatically when PoE is enabled. Access management functions via the CLI or the switch management interface to configure VLANs, DHCP settings and port parameters. Save configuration changes and monitor port status to ensure stable operation.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a secure, climate-controlled environment and ensure firmware is kept up to date. Plan VLAN and DHCP settings before deployment to avoid IP conflicts. When using PoE for multiple devices, verify the aggregate power budget and distribute high-power devices across ports or additional switches if necessary.
