How to use

Mount the FGSW-1816HPS in a standard 19" rack and connect network devices to the 10/100 ports and uplinks. Use the Web-based GUI or SNMP management software to configure VLANs, QoS, ACLs and IPv6 settings. Configure PoE options per port: enable PoE, set PoE schedule, sequence delay or PD Alive Check for automatic recovery of unresponsive devices. For long-distance backbone links, install appropriate 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP modules in the SFP slots.

Recommendations

For surveillance and VoIP scenarios, enable PD Alive Check and PoE schedule to increase reliability and reduce energy consumption.
