Hallittava kytkin Trendnet TEG-30284

The Trendnet TEG-30284 is a 1U rack-mountable managed Gigabit Ethernet switch with 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports and 4 × 10G SFP+ slots, designed for advanced network environments. It provides full duplex communication, a switching capacity of 128 Gbps and a MAC address table capable of handling large networks. The switch supports multiple IEEE standards for flexible interoperability and comes in a compact black chassis suitable for server racks.

Advantages

The switch offers high port density with both Gigabit copper and 10G fiber connectivity, a web-based management interface for straightforward configuration, and support for a wide range of Layer 2 and access-control features such as VLANs, spanning tree protocols, QoS and advanced security controls. Energy-efficient fans and compliance with modern Ethernet standards contribute to reliable operation in business networks.

Suitable for

• Small and medium-sized enterprise LANs requiring managed switching
• Server rooms and rack installations needing 10G uplinks
• VLAN segmentation, voice or multicast deployments
• Networks requiring access control and monitoring (SNMP, RMON, syslog)

How to use

Install the TEG-30284 in a standard 19-inch rack using the provided mounting brackets. Connect servers and workstations to the Gigabit RJ-45 ports and use the SFP+ slots for 10G uplinks or fiber connections. Access the web-based management interface via a browser to configure VLANs, QoS, security policies and spanning tree settings. Use SNMP or syslog for network monitoring and set SMTP alerts for critical events.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a ventilated rack space and connect the management port to a secure management network. Keep firmware up to date, enable appropriate access control (802.1X or TACACS+) and configure VLANs and QoS according to traffic patterns to ensure predictable performance.
