Hallittava verkkokytkin PLANET WGS-4215-8P2S

The PLANET WGS-4215-8P2S is a managed Gigabit Ethernet switch with 8 RJ-45 ports that support IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) and two SFP uplink slots. Designed for wall or enclosure mounting, it provides IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack management, Layer 2 features and a compact IP30 metal housing. The switch delivers up to 200 W total PoE budget, operates in temperatures from -40 to 75 °C and is suitable for installations requiring reliable PoE power and stable wired connectivity.

Advantages

The device combines high PoE power delivery with intelligent PoE management functions such as PD alive check, scheduled power recycling and per-port PoE scheduling. Its wall-mount and front-access design allow easy installation and maintenance in space-constrained enclosures. With hardened IP30 metal housing and a wide operating temperature range, the switch is built for industrial and outdoor-adjacent environments while offering robust Layer 2 management, QoS and secure remote administration via web, SSH, SSL and SNMPv3.

Suitable for

• IP surveillance systems with PoE cameras
• Wireless LAN access point deployment
• Building automation and IoT device networks
• Small and medium business edge switching and uplink to fiber backbones

Key specifications

• Ports: 8 × 10/100/1000T RJ-45 (802.3at PoE+), 2 × 100/1000X SFP
• PoE budget: up to 200 W total
• Switch type: Managed Layer 2
• Management: Web, Telnet, SNMP, SSH, SSL, SNMPv3; IPv4/IPv6 dual stack
• Operating temperature: -40 to 75 °C
• Housing: IP30 metal, wall/enclosure/DIN-rail mountable
• Special features: PD alive check, PoE schedule, scheduled power recycling, SFP DDM support

How to use

Install the WGS-4215-8P2S on a wall, inside a wall enclosure or on a DIN rail using the provided mounting options. Connect PoE-capable devices to the RJ-45 ports and uplink the switch to the network core via the SFP slots or copper ports. Access the management interface through the web GUI, Telnet or SNMP to configure VLANs, QoS, link aggregation, PoE schedules and security policies. Use the SFP DDM and management tools to monitor optical transceiver parameters and link status.

Recommendations

Configure PD alive check and scheduled power recycling for critical PoE devices (IP cameras, APs) to improve uptime. Define PoE schedules to disable power outside business hours for energy savings and increased security. Use VLANs, ACLs and 802.1X with RADIUS for port-level access control and enable SNMPv3/SSH for secure remote management.
