Always follow the luminaire manufacturer’s instructions for mounting and electrical connection. Allow the lamp to cool before handling or replacing it; use appropriate tools and protective equipment when necessary.

Recommendations

To prevent injury or property damage, operate halogen lamps only in luminaires designed with protective mechanisms (shields, grids or similar) that retain fragments if the lamp bursts and block ultraviolet radiation during operation. Fixtures should display a heat-warning label indicating the high operating temperature. For detailed safety information consult the luminaire manufacturer or request the product safety documentation.
