The Hama 00178110 Black 1200 mm cable lock is a practical security accessory for bicycles. It provides a 1200 mm flexible steel cable with a locking mechanism housed in durable plastic and is supplied with two identical keys. The black finish offers a discreet appearance while allowing users to secure frames, wheels, or to anchor a bike to a fixed object.

Advantages

The cable lock combines flexibility and length to reach around frames, wheels and fixed objects, making it versatile for everyday use. The plastic housing protects the locking mechanism from weather and reduces the risk of paint damage where the lock contacts the bicycle. How to use

Thread the cable around the bicycle frame and a secure anchor point such as a bike rack or pole, or loop it through a wheel and the frame. Insert the cable end into the lock housing and turn the key to secure the mechanism. Keep one key in a safe place and carry the spare when riding. When unlocking, insert the key, turn to release the lock, and withdraw the cable end carefully.

Recommendations

For improved security, lock the frame and at least one wheel to an immovable object. Avoid leaving the bicycle unattended for long periods in high-risk areas. Regularly check the lock and keys for wear or damage and store the lock in a dry place when not in use.
