HDMI-kaapeli ShiverPeaks 20 m

The ShiverPeaks HDMI Cable 20m is a 20-meter HDMI Type A to HDMI Type A lead intended for transmitting video and audio signals between displays, source devices and AV receivers across extended distances. It supports a data transfer rate of up to 8.16 Gbit/s and is finished with gold-plated contacts to reduce corrosion and improve contact reliability. The cable’s black jacket and robust construction are designed to withstand typical installation environments while maintaining signal integrity over long runs.

Advantages

The cable combines a long 20 m reach with HDMI Type A connectors on both ends, enabling flexible placement of TVs, monitors, projectors and media players without relying on wireless transmission. Gold-plated contacts contribute to consistent electrical connection and lower contact resistance. The specified transfer rate of 8.16 Gbit/s allows stable delivery of high-definition video and multi-channel audio for most consumer and professional AV setups. The black finish provides a neutral look that integrates easily into living room, office or studio installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting a TV or projector to a media player, set-top box or Blu-ray player across a longer distance
• Linking a computer or workstation to a monitor in a larger workspace or studio
• Running a cable behind furniture, along skirting boards or through dedicated conduit in home or office AV installations

Key specifications

• Cable length: 20 m
• Connector type (both ends): HDMI Type A (Standard)
• Data transfer rate: 8.16 Gbit/s
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: black

How to use

Ensure both devices are powered off or in standby before connecting. Insert each HDMI Type A connector fully into the HDMI ports on the source device and the display until it seats securely. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, heavy compression or contact with heat sources. After connections are made, power on the devices and select the appropriate HDMI input on the display. If needed, adjust display resolution and audio settings via the device menus to match the capabilities of the connected equipment.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid tightly coiling the 20 m cable; use gentle loops when storing. When routing under floor coverings or through walls, use appropriate conduit and follow local installation codes. If you experience signal degradation at long runs, verify connector seating, test with alternate devices or consider using an active HDMI extender or signal booster suitable for long-distance transmission.
