HDMI-kaapeli ShiverPeaks Basic-S 15 m

The ShiverPeaks Basic-S 15m HDMI cable provides a 15 metre connection with HDMI Type A connectors on both ends. Designed for signal transmission between source devices and displays, the cable supports a data transfer rate of 8.16 Gbit/s and uses gold-plated contacts to maintain consistent electrical contact and reduce corrosion. The cable’s black outer jacket and flexible construction are intended for installations where a longer, reliable HDMI link is required.

Advantages

The cable’s 15 m length allows for flexible placement of TVs, projectors and AV equipment without moving source devices. Gold-plated contacts improve long-term contact reliability and minimise signal loss at the connector interfaces. A rated data transfer rate of 8.16 Gbit/s ensures compatibility with many common video and audio formats used in home and office setups. The symmetrical HDMI Type A connectors on both ends simplify connection and reduce the chance of incorrect mating.

Suitable for

• Connecting a set-top box, media player or streaming device to a TV over a long distance
• Linking a laptop or workstation to a projector in classrooms or meeting rooms
• Connecting gaming consoles to a display when the console and TV are separated
• Permanent or semi-permanent AV installations where a 15 m cable run is required

Key specifications

• Cable length: 15 m
• Connector type (both ends): HDMI Type A (Standard)
• Data transfer rate: 8.16 Gbit/s
• Contacts: gold-plated
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one HDMI Type A plug to the HDMI output of the source device and the other plug to the HDMI input of the display. Ensure both devices are switched off or set to standby when plugging or unplugging to avoid potential signal glitches. After connection, power on the devices and select the corresponding HDMI input on the display. If the display does not automatically detect the signal, use the source or display input selection to choose the correct HDMI port and verify the video resolution and audio settings on both devices.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid tight bends and kinks in the cable along its run; maintain gentle curves and secure the cable with soft clips or cable ties to reduce strain on the connectors. Keep the cable away from large power cables and sources of electromagnetic interference where possible. If using in a fixed installation, leave a small service loop at each end to ease future disconnection and reconnection.
