Hiiri IBM Optical Wheel -hiiri 41U3030 USB

The IBM Optical Wheel Mouse 41U3030 USB is a wired optical mouse designed for reliable everyday use with a USB connection. It combines an optical tracking sensor, a scroll wheel, and an ergonomic shape to provide consistent cursor control and comfortable handling for standard office and home computing tasks.

Advantages

The optical sensor delivers accurate tracking on most non-reflective surfaces, supporting precise pointer movement. The integrated wheel enables smooth vertical navigation through documents and web pages. The ergonomic casing is shaped to reduce hand fatigue during prolonged use, and the USB interface allows plug-and-play connection with modern desktop and laptop systems. The construction emphasizes durability for sustained operation.

Suitable for

• General office work: document editing, spreadsheets, email
• Home computing and web browsing
• Data-entry and administrative tasks requiring reliable pointer control
• Environments where a simple wired USB mouse is preferred for stability and compatibility

Key specifications

• Connection: USB wired interface for plug-and-play use
• Tracking: optical sensor for accurate cursor movement
• Controls: left and right buttons plus a scroll wheel
• Design: ergonomic shape intended for extended use
• Suitability: desktop and laptop compatibility with standard USB ports

How to use

Connect the USB plug to an available USB port on your computer; the operating system should recognize the device automatically without additional drivers in most cases. Place the mouse on a flat, non-reflective surface or a mouse pad for optimal optical tracking. Use the left and right buttons for standard click and selection tasks and the scroll wheel for vertical navigation within documents and web pages. For detailed pointer sensitivity adjustments, modify mouse settings in the host operating system.

Recommendations

To maintain consistent performance, keep the optical sensor area free of dust and debris and use the mouse on an appropriate surface. If hand fatigue occurs during extended sessions, consider adjusting chair and desk height or using a mouse pad with wrist support.
