Hiomapaperit Bosch X440 Best for Wood and Paint

The Bosch X440 Best for Wood and Paint sanding sheets remove material efficiently from old paint, varnish and wooden surfaces. They use a semi-friable aluminium oxide abrasive grain bonded with fully synthetic resin for wear resistance in heavy-duty sanding. The backing is a robust x-cloth with a high-quality belt joint and the grit features an electrostatic open-coated surface to support consistent dust removal during continuous sanding. This pack contains 10 sheets designed for use with belt sanders and is intended for smoothing feather edges, flush sanding rebates and sanding coated and wooden surfaces.

Advantages

The semi-friable aluminium oxide grain delivers high-performance sanding and predictable wear. The synthetic resin bond increases durability in heavy-duty applications. The x-cloth backing and strong belt joint provide mechanical strength for extended work, while the electrostatic open-coated grit helps reduce clogging and maintain dust extraction efficiency.

How to use

Select the correct sheet size and grit for the task and attach the sheet to a compatible belt sander according to the sander manufacturer's instructions. Start sanding with steady, even passes and moderate pressure; avoid forcing the tool. For best results on painted or varnished surfaces, keep the sander moving to prevent gouging and check progress frequently. Replace sheets when abrasive performance declines or the open coating clogs beyond recovery.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (dust mask, eye protection and hearing protection) and ensure dust extraction is connected when available. For long continuous jobs choose finer grits progressively to achieve the desired finish. Store sheets flat and dry to maintain performance.
