HPE Enterprise 450GB 15K SAS 6Gb/s 3,5" LFF Hot-Swap kiintolevy

Server storage bottlenecks can cripple database performance and virtualisation density. This HPE Enterprise 450GB hot-swap hard drive eliminates those I/O stalls with 15,000 RPM spindle speed and dual-port SAS 6Gb/s connectivity, delivering the low latency and high throughput that transaction-heavy workloads demand.

Who is it for

IT administrators managing HPE ProLiant servers in data centres, hosting providers running latency-sensitive applications, and enterprises consolidating storage for ERP, CRM, or OLTP systems. Ideal for RAID arrays where consistent performance and rapid rebuilds are critical.

Main features

• 450 GB formatted capacity for operating systems, databases, and hot data.
• 15,000 RPM rotational speed with 2 ms average latency for fast random access.
• SAS 6Gb/s interface with dual ports for redundant paths and failover.
• 3.5-inch Large Form Factor (LFF) hot-swap carrier for tool-less installation.
• Enterprise-class reliability with 512n sector format and Smart Carrier (SC) compatibility.
• Hot-swap support enables online replacement without server downtime.

Tips

For maximum performance, pair this drive with a SAS controller that supports 6Gb/s and enable write-back cache with battery backup. Use in RAID 10 for databases requiring both speed and redundancy, or RAID 5 for capacity efficiency. Always verify firmware compatibility with your server model before deployment.
