USB-A-keskitin ITEC U3CBLHUB2A — 2 porttia, USB 3.0 jopa 5 Gbit/s

The ITEC U3CBLHUB2A USB-A hub is a compact adapter that expands a computer or laptop’s single USB-A port into two USB 3.0 ports. It provides data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps, enabling fast connections to external hard drives, flash drives, card readers and other USB peripherals. The hub uses a plug-and-play connection with no drivers required on modern operating systems and has a slim, portable housing intended for desktop, mobile and travel use.

Advantages

The hub delivers USB 3.0 performance with backward compatibility for USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices, ensuring wide peripheral support. Its compact design offers easy portability and minimal desk footprint. With two independent downstream ports, the adapter lets you connect and use multiple devices simultaneously while maintaining high transfer rates for data-intensive tasks. The direct USB-A connection avoids extra power supplies for most low- and medium-power peripherals.

Suitable for

• Connecting external SSDs and HDDs for fast file transfers
• Attaching USB flash drives, card readers and media devices
• Expanding ports for mice, keyboards and other peripherals at a workspace
• Using with laptops and mini PCs while travelling or working remotely

Key specifications

• Interface: USB-A to 2 × USB 3.0 Type-A downstream ports
• Transfer speed: up to 5 Gbps (USB 3.0 specification)
• Compatibility: backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices
• Power: bus-powered from host USB-A port (no external power adapter for typical low-power devices)
• Form factor: compact, portable aluminum/plastic housing with short integrated cable

How to use

Connect the hub’s integrated USB-A plug to an available USB-A port on your computer or laptop. Plug your USB devices into the hub’s two USB 3.0 ports. The operating system should recognize connected devices automatically; for storage devices, allow a moment for the drive to mount before accessing files. If multiple power-hungry devices are attached and a single host port cannot supply sufficient current, disconnect nonessential devices or connect directly to a powered USB port or powered hub.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, connect high-speed storage devices directly to a USB 3.0 port on the hub and ensure the host computer’s port supports USB 3.0. Avoid daisy-chaining multiple passive hubs when using bandwidth-intensive devices. When transporting the hub, protect the integrated cable and connectors from bending or impact to maintain reliable connections.
