InfiniBand/kuitu kaapeli BlueOptics BO353503J2M-BO 2 m SFP+ uros/uros

The BlueOptics BO353503J2M-BO is a 2 m InfiniBand/fibre optic active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed short-range links, it provides duplex optical transmission over multimode fiber and is intended for use with SFP+ ports in switches, routers, servers and storage hardware that follow SFP+/MSA interface standards.

Advantages

The cable implements an active optical design with transmitter and receiver modules integrated at each end, enabling simultaneous send-and-receive operation and reducing issues associated with copper cabling such as electromagnetic interference. Built to MSA-compatible SFP+ form-factor requirements, it offers plug-and-play connectivity for systems that accept SFP+ AOCs. The 2 m length supports compact rack and cabinet layouts while preserving high bandwidth and low latency suitable for 10G-class links.

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port until the module latches. Ensure both devices support SFP+ AOC modules and, if required by the host hardware, that vendor-compatibility settings or firmware accept third-party AOCs. After insertion, verify link status and negotiate speed according to the attached equipment. For diagnostic access to optical parameters, enable DDM/DOM support on the host device if available so the cable can report status such as optical power and temperature.

Recommendations

Route the cable without sharp bends and avoid tight cable management that exceeds the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode AOC assemblies. Keep connectors clean and insert or remove modules with the system powered down where possible and in accordance with the device vendor’s hot-plug guidance. Verify that the target devices support SFP+ AOCs and DDM/DOM if you require real-time diagnostics.
