InLine Cat.5e ISDN T-adapteri RJ45 urosliitin – 2x RJ45 liitin 15 cm

The InLine Cat.5e ISDN T-Adapter (RJ45 male to 2× RJ45 female, 15 cm) is a compact adapter that enables cable sharing on structured twisted-pair installations. It uses the Cat5e-compatible RJ45 connectors to combine two separate connections onto a single four-pair cable by allocating only two wire pairs per connection, allowing a 10/100 Mbit LAN link and an ISDN line (or two 10/100 links where applicable) to share one physical cable when matched with a corresponding adapter at the far end.

Advantages

The adapter is small and easy to install, requiring no tools. It supports Cat5e wiring standards and preserves the RJ45 form factor for simple integration into existing networks. Its short 15 cm cable provides flexibility in positioning while the silver finish matches common networking equipment. Using the adapter reduces the need to run additional cabling where pair allocation allows.

How to use

Plug the male RJ45 plug of the adapter into a wall socket or patch panel port that exposes all four pairs. Connect the two devices (for example, an ISDN terminal and a 10/100 Mbit Ethernet device) to the female RJ45 ports on the adapter. At the remote end of the cable run, install the matching T-adapter to split the combined pairs back into two separate RJ45 ports. Verify link and service operation after installation.

Recommendations

Use this adapter only when the network design permits pair sharing (e.g., 10/100 Mbit Ethernet and ISDN). Do not use it for Gigabit Ethernet connections, which require all four pairs. Ensure both ends use compatible adapters and clearly label shared cables to avoid confusion during maintenance.
