Intellinet liitäntäholkki, Cat5e, FTP, modulaarinen, 8P8C-pistorasia 8P8C-pistorasiaan, hopea

The Intellinet Inline Coupler Cat5e FTP is a compact metal adapter that joins two shielded Cat5e (FTP) cables via 8P8C female-to-female connectors. Designed to extend shielded twisted-pair runs while maintaining Cat5e performance, it features gold-plated contacts and complies with ANSI/TIA/EIA 568 B.2 for Cat5e cabling.

Advantages

The coupler uses 50 micron gold-plated contacts to ensure consistent signal transmission and reduced corrosion. Its metal housing provides shielding continuity for FTP cables and mechanical durability in patching applications. The compact, lightweight design makes it easy to install in tight spaces without adding significant bulk.

Suitable for

• Extending shielded Cat5e (FTP) Ethernet cables
• Joining two 8P8C (RJ45) terminated FTP cables
• Temporary or permanent network patching in offices or data closets

Key specifications

• Connector type: 8P8C female to female (RJ45 compatible)
• Cable compatibility: Shielded twisted pair (FTP) Cat5e
• Contact plating: 50 μm gold
• Standards: Cat5e performance per ANSI/TIA/EIA 568 B.2
• Material and colour: Metal housing, silver
• Weight: 0.032 kg
• Dimensions: width 17.8 mm, depth 36 mm

How to use

Ensure both Cat5e FTP cables are terminated with compatible 8P8C (RJ45) plugs. Align each plug with the female sockets on the coupler and insert firmly until a secure connection is felt. Verify continuity and signal performance after installation. For best results, maintain proper cable bend radius and secure the joined cables to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use this coupler only with shielded (FTP) Cat5e cables to preserve shielding continuity. Avoid repeated frequent unplugging to minimize wear on the gold-plated contacts; if frequent reconnections are expected, consider using a short patch cable instead of a direct coupler.
