The Bachmann Power Strip outlet box 333.401 is an aluminium power distribution unit designed for integration into office desks, workstations and home furniture. It combines a compact, low-profile aluminium housing with multiple power outlets and integrated surge protection to provide reliable mains access where several devices need to be powered simultaneously. The unit is intended for fixed or semi-fixed installation and offers a neat, contemporary appearance that complements modern interiors while keeping cables organised.

Advantages

The aluminium construction delivers a robust yet lightweight enclosure that resists wear and helps dissipate heat. Multiple outlets allow convenient connection of computers, monitors, chargers and peripherals without the need for separate adaptors. Built-in surge protection reduces the risk of damage to connected equipment from transient voltage spikes. The compact footprint and discreet styling support versatile installation options, including mounting into desks, cabinets or beneath worktops.

• Surge protection: integrated transient over-voltage protection

How to use

Install the outlet box according to the mounting instructions, ensuring the unit is secured in the chosen location and connected to a correctly rated mains supply by a qualified electrician if required by local regulations. Once installed and powered, plug devices directly into the available sockets. Observe the maximum load rating of the unit when connecting multiple appliances, and avoid overloading a single circuit. Regularly inspect the housing and cable entry for signs of damage and keep the area around the unit clear of obstructions to maintain ventilation.

Recommendations

Use the Bachmann aluminium outlet box to centralise power for desktop equipment and audiovisual setups. Avoid connecting high-power appliances that exceed the outlet box’s rated load, and consider additional surge protection or UPS systems for sensitive electronics. Schedule periodic checks of the surge protection functionality and replace the unit if protective elements are compromised.
