Kaapeliadapteri RJ-45 Lanberg AD-RJ45-OS6-IP67 musta

The Lanberg AD-RJ45-OS6-IP67 cable gender changer is a compact female-to-female RJ45 coupler built for outdoor and industrial deployments. With an IP67-rated sealed housing and shielded ports, it allows joining two pre-terminated CAT5e or CAT6 external cables while protecting the connection from dust and temporary immersion in water. The black enclosure provides a discreet appearance suitable for CCTV, digital signage, stadium installations, PoE lighting and building exteriors.

Advantages

The device supports both shielded and unshielded connectors thanks to shielded ports and offers extra internal space to accommodate different plug boot sizes. Its IP67 ingress protection ensures reliable performance in wet or dusty conditions, and the female-to-female design enables straightforward coupling of two RJ45-terminated cables without re-terminating ends.

Suitable for

• Outdoor CCTV camera connections
• Digital signage and stadium network runs
• PoE lighting and outdoor PoE devices
• Connecting pre-terminated CAT5e or CAT6 external cables
• Office building and home external cable extensions

How to use

Open the sealed housing, insert the RJ45-terminated ends of the two external cables into the female ports, then close and secure the enclosure to restore the IP67 seal. Ensure that cable boots are positioned correctly to fit inside the internal space and that shield continuity is maintained if using shielded cables. Verify network link status after coupling and protect the assembly with appropriate mounting or additional weatherproofing if required.

Recommendations

Use the coupler with CAT5e or CAT6 external cables that are already terminated with RJ45 plugs. When using shielded cables, confirm shield continuity through the coupler and avoid exposing the sealed enclosure to permanent submersion beyond IP67 specifications. For long-term outdoor installations, check seals periodically and secure cables to prevent mechanical strain.
