Suitable for

• Cutting insulated and uninsulated copper and aluminum conductors
• Electrical installation and maintenance in homes and small commercial sites
• Wire preparation for terminals, connectors, and cable lugs
• DIY electrical projects and light workshop tasks

Key specifications

• Weight: about 230 g
• Tool type: handheld cable cutter
• Cutting capacity: designed for soft and stranded cables commonly used in electrical work
• Handle: ergonomic profile for improved grip
• Blade: hardened cutting edges for durability and clean cuts

How to use

Position the cable between the cutting blades at the desired trim point, then squeeze the handles evenly to achieve a single smooth cutting action. For larger bundles or multi-core cables, make incremental cuts to avoid excessive force and ensure a clean finish. Inspect the cut edge and, if necessary, remove any small burrs with a suitable wire brush or file. Store the tool in a dry place and keep the blades clean to preserve cutting performance.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses when cutting energized or tensioned cables, and ensure electrical circuits are de-energized before working. Avoid cutting hardened steel wires or heavily tinned conductors that exceed the tool’s design intent to prevent blade damage.
