The ShiverPeaks BS73000-MU Cable Crimper Black Red is a manual hand tool designed for precise crimping of insulated and non-insulated cable terminals and connectors. Constructed with durable handles in black and red, the tool provides tactile control and stable pressure for consistent crimps across a range of cable types. Its compact form factor supports use in confined spaces and on-site electrical tasks where reliable mechanical connections are required.

Advantages

The crimper delivers repeatable crimp quality and even pressure distribution to reduce loose connections. Ergonomic handles improve grip and reduce hand fatigue during extended use. Its solid-joint mechanism minimizes play for accurate alignment of terminals and ferrules, and a compact head design enables access to tight installations.

Suitable for

• Crimping insulated and non-insulated terminals and ferrules
• Electrical installation and maintenance work
• Control panels, automotive wiring, and household wiring repairs
• On-site service jobs and confined-space applications

Key specifications

• Hand-operated crimping tool with ratchet/locking style action for consistent crimps
• Ergonomic black and red handles for improved grip and comfort
• Compact head profile for working in restricted areas
• Suitable for a variety of conductor cross-sections and common terminal types
• Durable construction intended for repeated professional and DIY use

How to use

Select the appropriate terminal or ferrule and place the stripped conductor into the connector. Position the connector in the crimper head so the crimping profile matches the terminal orientation, then close the handles until the ratchet mechanism completes the crimp and releases. Inspect the crimp for firm mechanical retention and electrical contact. If needed, re-strip and re-crimp rather than reusing a damaged connector.

Recommendations

Use the tool with properly sized terminals and correct conductor stripping lengths. Maintain the crimper by keeping the pivot area clean and lightly lubricated, and inspect jaws for wear before critical jobs; replace the tool if alignment or bite quality degrades.
