Kaapelin sukupuolenmuunnin Renkforce RF-4230660

The Renkforce RF-4230660 Cable Gender Changer is a D-Sub 9-pin adapter engineered to reverse connector polarity between two D-Sub 9-pin leads. Finished in a metallic yellow housing, the adapter combines a compact form factor with a robust metal appearance to facilitate straightforward connections in serial and RS-232 environments. It is designed for easy handling and quick installation, enabling compatibility between devices with mismatched D-Sub 9 connector genders.

Advantages

This gender changer enables a cost-effective solution to convert plug-to-plug or socket-to-socket configurations without replacing cable assemblies. The metallic yellow finish improves resistance to wear while providing a clearly visible connector. Its compact design conserves space and simplifies cable routing in tight installations. The adapter is RoHS and REACH compliant, meeting EU restrictions on hazardous substances and supporting environmentally responsible use.

Suitable for

• Converting connector gender in serial RS-232 connections
• Linking devices with mismatched D-Sub 9-pin connectors
• Temporary or permanent cable reconfiguration in lab, workshop or office setups
• Repairing or adapting existing cabling to avoid full cable replacement

Key specifications

• Connector type: D-Sub 9-pin (DB9) gender changer
• Housing finish: metallic yellow
• Form factor: compact inline adapter
• Application: serial communications (e.g., RS-232)
• Compliance: RoHS and REACH compliant

How to use

Connect one D-Sub 9-pin cable end to one side of the adapter and the other cable or device to the opposite side, ensuring secure seating of the connectors and tightening any thumbscrews if present. The adapter changes the gender of the D-Sub 9 connection so devices that previously could not mate directly can be linked. Verify that signal and ground assignments match your equipment requirements before powering connected devices.

Recommendations

For reliable serial communication, use in short to moderate cable runs and avoid subjecting the adapter to excessive mechanical stress or moisture. Inspect connectors for damage before use and prefer adapters for adaptation or temporary solutions rather than as a permanent substitute for purpose-made cables when signal integrity is critical.
