Kaapelipuristuspihdit Knipex 97 51 10 SB

The Knipex 97 51 10 SB cable crimper is a professional hand tool for cutting, stripping and crimping unshielded ribbon telephone cables and round cables. It is designed for precise, repeatable crimping of 6- and 8‑pole Western plugs (RJ11/RJ12, 9.65 mm) and RJ45 plugs (11.68 mm). The tool incorporates a length cutter and a dismantling knife for ribbon cables (6 and 12 mm) and an additional stripping device for round cables. Constructed from oil‑hardened chrome vanadium electric steel, it offers a comfortable three‑colour grip and weighs approximately 0.34 kg.

Advantages

Parallel crimping ensures an exact crimping process while the integral lock with a self‑releasing mechanism provides repetitive, high‑quality crimps and secure handling during work. The built‑in length cutter and dismantling knife speed up preparation of ribbon telephone cables, and the additional stripping device covers round cable preparation. The durable chrome vanadium construction and ergonomic grip deliver consistent performance for professional and DIY applications.

How to use

Prepare the cable by cutting to the required length and using the length cutter or dismantling knife for ribbon telephone cables (6 or 12 mm) to expose conductors. For round cables, use the additional stripping device to remove insulation without damaging conductors. Insert the conductor into the appropriate connector (RJ11/RJ12 or RJ45) and place the connector into the crimping slot. Squeeze the handles until the integral lock releases to complete the crimp. Verify the connection visually and, if necessary, test with appropriate network or telephone testers.

Recommendations

For best results, select the correct connector type and align conductors before crimping. Avoid excessive force beyond the tool's designed use, and perform periodic inspection and cleaning of the crimping dies to maintain consistent crimp quality.
