Kaapelisovitin DeLOCK 66497 USB 3.0 musta

The DeLOCK 66497 USB 3.0 gender changer provides a compact solution to connect two USB 3.0 cables or devices directly. The adapter has USB 3.0 connectors on both ends and a black housing designed for durability and everyday use. It supports high-speed USB 3.0 data transfer rates and is intended to preserve signal integrity when changing the connector gender without adding active electronics.

Advantages

This gender changer offers a simple, passive connection method that maintains USB 3.0 transfer performance while avoiding bulky adapters. Its black casing is resistant to wear from repeated plugging and unplugging, and the compact form factor keeps desktop or mobile setups tidy. The adapter is plug-and-play and requires no drivers, enabling immediate use across compatible devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting two USB 3.0 cables to extend reach
• Changing connector gender between host and peripheral devices
• Temporary connections in workstations, laptops or media centers
• Situations where a compact, passive adapter is preferred

Key specifications

• Connector type: USB 3.0 to USB 3.0
• Colour: Black
• Function: Gender conversion (passive)
• Data transfer: USB 3.0 high-speed signalling compatible
• Design: Compact, durable housing for frequent use

How to use

Insert one USB 3.0 cable or device plug into each end of the gender changer so that connectors are firmly seated. Ensure connected devices support USB 3.0 for maximum throughput; if one device only supports USB 2.0, the connection will fall back to the lower speed. No software or driver installation is required. To disconnect, gently pull the connectors straight out to avoid stressing the adapter or cable.

Recommendations

Use the adapter in dry environments and avoid excessive bending of attached cables close to the adapter to maintain signal quality and prolong mechanical lifespan. For long-term permanent installations or where signal amplification is required, consider using an active coupler or a single longer certified USB 3.0 cable instead.
