Kaapelisovitin VGA (D-Sub) HDMI:hen + 3,5 mm ShiverPeaks BS10-01005

The ShiverPeaks BS10-01005 Cable gender changer converts a VGA (D-Sub) output into an HDMI signal while carrying audio via a 3.5 mm connector. Designed for scenarios where a device with a VGA output needs to be connected to an HDMI display, this adapter features gold‑plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance. The compact inline form factor allows placement between existing cables without requiring additional power or bulky converters.

Advantages

The adapter provides a simple passive solution for linking VGA sources to HDMI displays with added audio support through the 3.5 mm jack. Gold‑plated contacts enhance signal integrity and reduce contact wear, improving long‑term reliability. Its straightforward plug‑and‑play design avoids complicated setup and is suitable for quick connections in both home and office environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting older laptops or desktop computers with VGA output to modern HDMI monitors or TVs
• Presentations where VGA video and separate audio must be combined for an HDMI display
• Temporary or ad-hoc AV setups in meeting rooms, classrooms, or home entertainment systems

Key specifications

• Input connector: VGA (D-Sub) female
• Output connectors: HDMI (female) and 3.5 mm audio (female)
• Contact plating: gold‑plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Cable type: passive gender changer/adapter
• Compatibility: designed to map analog VGA video and separate analog audio to HDMI interface where supported by source and sink devices

How to use

Connect the VGA (D-Sub) end to the VGA output on your source device and plug an HDMI cable into the HDMI female end to connect to the display. Plug a 3.5 mm audio cable from the source audio output to the adapter’s 3.5 mm jack to route sound. Ensure secure connections at both ends and select the appropriate input on the display. No external power is required; however, compatibility depends on the capabilities of the connected devices and cables.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use quality HDMI and VGA cables and check that the source device can output a compatible signal. When possible, test the connection and audio routing before critical use, and avoid excessive bending or strain on connector ends to prolong contact life.
