Kaiutinkaapeli ShiverPeaks 06-211011, 2,5 mm², 25 m, CCA

Speaker cable ShiverPeaks 06-211011, 2.5 mm², 25 m, CCA is a 25-metre loudspeaker cable with a 2.5 mm² conductor cross-section made from copper-clad aluminum (CCA). It is intended for indoor audio connections between amplifiers, receivers and loudspeakers in home audio systems, multi-room installations and custom AV setups. The transparent insulation and flexible strand construction allow easy routing through walls, skirting channels or along baseboards while maintaining a lightweight cable profile.

Advantages

The ShiverPeaks speaker cable provides a cost-effective alternative to pure copper cable by combining aluminum core conductors with a thin copper cladding that preserves electrical contact surfaces. With a 2.5 mm² cross-section and multi-strand construction, the cable balances conductivity and flexibility for typical domestic loudspeaker runs. The 25 m length covers extended runs without splicing, and the transparent outer sheath allows quick visual verification of conductor condition during installation.

Suitable for

• Connecting bookshelf, floorstanding or satellite speakers to home amplifiers or AV receivers
• Multi-room audio wiring where longer lengths are required
• Indoor installations in living rooms, home theaters and dedicated listening rooms
• Temporary or semi-permanent setups where reduced weight and cost are priorities

Key specifications

• Conductor type: copper-clad aluminum (CCA)
• Conductor cross-section: 2.5 mm²
• Stranding: multi-strand construction for flexibility
• Length: 25 metres
• Insulation: transparent outer sheath for visual inspection
• Intended use: indoor speaker connections

How to use

Strip the outer sheath and insulation from each conductor for the required termination length, taking care not to nick the strands. Use appropriate speaker connectors (banana plugs, spade lugs or bare wire clamps) matched to the amplifier and speaker terminals. Route the cable along planned paths, avoiding tight bends and contact with heat sources. For runs longer than a single 25 m length, use proper splicing techniques or joiners to maintain mechanical and electrical continuity. Verify polarity (+/−) at both ends before powering the system to ensure correct phase alignment of connected speakers.

Recommendations

For best audio performance, keep individual run lengths moderate and avoid combining CCA cable with high-current or long-distance subwoofer feeds where low-resistance pure copper conductors are preferred. Use secure, corrosion-resistant terminations and avoid exposing the cable to moisture or outdoor conditions.
