Kaiutinkaapeli ShiverPeaks 06-240711 4 mm², 10 m, CCA-johdin

ShiverPeaks 06-240711 speaker cable is a 10 m length of audio cable with a 4 mm² cross-sectional area and a copper-clad aluminum (CCA) conductor. It is designed for connecting loudspeakers to amplifiers and receivers in home or light professional audio systems. The cable combines reduced weight with improved conductivity compared to plain aluminum, offering a cost-effective solution for routed installations, bookshelf or floorstanding speakers, and multi-room setups.

Advantages

The cable provides a balance of electrical performance and affordability through its CCA conductor, delivering adequate conductivity for typical domestic and small commercial audio systems. The 4 mm² cross-section supports stable signal transmission over moderate distances and helps maintain audio clarity. With transparent insulation, the cable is easy to identify during installation and can be routed in-wall or along baseboards where compatible with local installation codes.

Suitable for

• Home stereo and hi-fi speaker connections
• Bookshelf and floorstanding loudspeakers
• Multi-room audio systems and distributed speaker layouts
• In-wall routing where permitted by building regulations
• Temporary and permanent installations in small commercial spaces

Key specifications

• Length: 10 meters
• Conductor type: copper-clad aluminum (CCA)
• Cross-sectional area: 4 mm²
• Conductor construction: multi-strand (56 x 0.30 mm strands)
• Insulation: transparent protective outer jacket
• Intended use: speaker cable for low-frequency audio signals

How to use

Strip the insulation carefully to expose the conductor without cutting strands, then connect positive and negative conductors to the corresponding terminals on the amplifier and speaker, ensuring secure and polarity-consistent connections. Route the cable following the shortest practical path, avoid sharp bends and tight coils, and secure it with appropriate clips or conduits. When terminating the cable, use suitable connectors or banana/spade terminals compatible with the speaker and amplifier binding posts to ensure reliable contact. For in-wall installations, verify compatibility with local building and fire-safety regulations and use conduit or rated in-wall cable if required.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use this 4 mm² speaker cable for runs where moderate distance and standard home audio power levels are expected. Avoid excessively long runs for high-power systems to prevent increased resistance and potential power loss; for longer distances or high-current applications, consider cables with larger cross sections or pure copper conductors. Regularly check connections for corrosion or loosening and replace damaged sections to maintain consistent audio quality.
