Käsikaapelileikkuri Wiha 26745 — teräsrakenne, 160 mm pituus, punainen/keltainen kahva

Wiha 26745 is a compact hand cable cutter designed for electrical and communication cable work. Constructed from high-quality C70 tool steel with chrome plating and inductive hardening, the tool has an overall length of 160 mm and weighs 237 g. The red/yellow insulated handle provides visibility and grip while the DynamicJoint® and riveted low-wear lap joint deliver efficient force transmission and durability. The cutter is individually tested at 10,000 V AC and approved for use up to 1,000 V AC, meeting IEC 60900 and DIN ISO 5749 standards.

Advantages

The cutter combines two functions—cutting to length and precision stripping—reducing the need to carry multiple tools. Specially milled precision cutting edges and additional inductive hardening to approx. 64 HRC ensure clean cuts and long-lasting performance. The DynamicJoint® design reduces the manual effort required for cutting, while the chrome-plated surface resists corrosion for extended service life. The insulated red/yellow handle enhances visibility and user safety when working near live parts.

Suitable for

• Cutting and stripping single-core electrical cables (including 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm² conductors)
• Installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and communication systems
• Work near live parts up to 1,000 V AC where insulated tools are required
• Portable tool kits for electricians, technicians and service personnel

Key specifications

• Material: high-quality C70 tempered tool steel with chrome plating
• Overall length: 160 mm
• Weight: 237 g
• Handle: red/yellow insulated grip for visibility and electrical protection
• Cutting edges: specially milled precision edges with inductive hardening to approx. 64 HRC
• Joint: low-wear riveted lap joint with DynamicJoint® design
• Front and rear cutting areas: front area for soft wire and precision stripping stations; rear area near joint suitable for medium-hard and hard wire
• Standards: manufactured according to IEC 60900 and DIN ISO 5749; tested individually at 10,000 V AC, approved for 1,000 V AC

How to use

Position the appropriate cutting or stripping area over the conductor and apply steady hand pressure until the conductor is cleanly cut or the insulation is removed. For stripping 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm² single-wire conductors, use the precision stripping stations in the front cutting area and rotate the tool gently while maintaining light pressure. When cutting medium-hard or hard wire, use the rear cutting area near the joint for improved leverage. Inspect cutting edges periodically and keep the tool clean and lightly oiled to preserve the chrome-plated surface and hardness.

Recommendations

Use this insulated hand cable cutter only within its rated voltage limit (approved for 1,000 V AC) and inspect the insulation on the handle for damage before each use. Store the tool dry and avoid exposure to corrosive chemicals. For persistent or unusual cutting resistance, check the condition of the cutting edges and replace the tool if edges are chipped or worn beyond effective operation.
