Katkaisulaikka Bosch F550 Expert for Metal 2608608Y14

The Bosch F550 Expert for Metal cutting disc (2608608Y14) is a high-performance abrasive accessory for metalworking. With a 125 mm diameter and 1.0 mm thickness, it is designed for dry sanding, surface preparation and material removal on steel, stainless steel (Inox), titanium, aluminium and other non‑ferrous metals. The disc uses a zirconia alumina abrasive grit bonded with fully synthetic resin on a vulcanised fibre F-paper backing and features an electrostatically close-grain distribution plus cooling additives for stable, efficient sanding and long wear in heavy-duty applications. The hook-and-loop backing with Bosch direct force system enables quick changes and easy handling.

Advantages

High material removal rate on metal surfaces due to zirconia alumina grit provides fast, effective sanding close to the performance of fibre discs. Vulcanised F-paper backing increases wear resistance and stability when working on tough materials. Cooling additives and electrostatic grain distribution improve sanding behaviour and reduce clogging, while the fully synthetic resin bond ensures durability in heavy-duty tasks. The Bosch direct force hook-and-loop fastening allows rapid disc replacement and secure mounting.

How to use

Fit the 125 mm F550 Expert for Metal disc onto a compatible angle grinder or sander with hook-and-loop mounting and ensure the Bosch direct force system is engaged. Use the disc for dry sanding and material removal by applying steady, even pressure and moving the tool along the work surface. Keep the tool speed within the manufacturer’s recommended range for the accessory and the machine. Replace the disc when abrasive performance declines or when wear reaches safety limits. Always allow the disc to stop completely before changing it.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection and dust mask). Secure the workpiece and avoid excessive pressure or side loading that can shorten disc life. For best results on stainless steel and alloys, keep the sanding motion even and inspect the surface regularly to avoid overheating or discoloration.
