Kirvesmiehenkulma Bahco 9045-B-200 teräs musta 22 cm terä 17 cm kieli

The Bahco 9045-B-200 is a steel carpenter's square with a 22 cm blade and a 17 cm tongue, designed for accurate layout and measurement tasks in woodworking and construction. Manufactured by BAHCO, this compact square weighs approximately 160 g and combines a sturdy steel construction with a compact form factor that fits easily in a tool bag or could be carried on a work belt.

Advantages

The steel construction provides long-term durability and resistance to bending under normal use. Its precision-ground edges and firm 90° alignment allow for reliable squaring, marking and measuring on timber, sheet materials and framing. The moderate weight and compact dimensions make it easy to position and hold steady during marking and scribing operations.

Suitable for

• Checking and marking right angles on timber and panels
• Transferring measurements and laying out joinery
• Light carpentry, trim work and DIY projects
• Verifying squareness of frames and assemblies

Key specifications

• Material: steel
• Blade length: 22 cm
• Tongue length: 17 cm
• Weight: about 160 g
• Angle: fixed 90°

How to use

Place the tongue firmly against the reference edge of the workpiece so the blade lies flat across the surface to be marked. Use the square to mark a perpendicular line by running a pencil or scribe along the blade edge while keeping the tongue flush to the reference face. For transfer of measurements, align the square, mark the point, then move the tool to the new location and repeat. When checking assemblies, set the square into a corner to confirm the 90° relationship between adjacent faces.

Recommendations

Keep the square clean and dry to prevent corrosion. Store it flat or hang it to avoid bending. For high-precision layout, inspect the edges for nicks and ensure the tool sits fully flush against reference surfaces before marking.
