Kohotuskaappi Westmark 32082270, pyöreä rottinki, korkeus 8 cm, halkaisija 17,5 cm

Round proofing basket Westmark 32082270, crafted in traditional rattan style, is designed for shaping and proofing small to medium loaves. With a height of 8 cm and diameter of 17.5 cm, the basket provides gentle support and promotes air circulation around the dough during the final rise. The open weave helps moisture escape for an even crust development and leaves a natural pattern on the dough surface that enhances the baked loaf's appearance.

Advantages

The rattan construction combines lightweight handling with sufficient rigidity to retain shape during proofing. Its 8 cm height and 17.5 cm diameter are optimized for small to medium-sized bread, offering consistent support and predictable results. The natural weave improves airflow and moisture release, which contributes to an evenly fermented crumb and a well-defined crust pattern. The basket is simple to use and clean with standard care for rattan kitchenware.

• Final rise of loaves before scoring and baking
• Home baking and small bakery production where space-efficient proofing is needed

Key specifications

• Shape: Round
• Material: Rattan (traditional woven style)
• Height: 8 cm
• Diameter: 17.5 cm
• Intended loaf size: Small to medium

How to use

Before placing dough in the basket, dust the interior lightly with flour or use a linen liner to prevent sticking. Shape the dough into a boule or round form and place it seam-side up in the basket for the final proof. Allow the dough to rise until it reaches the desired proofing level, then invert the basket gently onto a baking surface, score the dough, and transfer it to the oven. After use, remove excess flour and allow the basket to air dry thoroughly to preserve the rattan.

Recommendations

For consistent results, maintain moderate hydration in the dough and use a dusting of rice or wheat flour to reduce sticking. Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive moisture or direct heat to preserve the rattan structure; store in a dry, ventilated place between uses.
