Kuituadapteri SC ShiverPeaks 07-60064 monimuotokuitu beige

The ShiverPeaks Fibre Optic Adapter SC 07-60064 in beige is a single-piece, multi-mode coupling designed to join two SC-terminated multi-mode fibre connectors. Intended for use in structured cabling and optical patching, the adapter provides a straightforward mechanical connection between SC connectors, maintaining alignment and physical contact for signal transmission. The neutral beige colour makes it suitable for standard multimode installations where colour coding follows industry conventions.

Advantages

This SC fibre optic adapter offers precise alignment for SC ferrules and stable mechanical retention to reduce connector movement. Its single-piece construction simplifies installation and replacement in patch panels, wall plates, and optical distribution frames. The adapter is compatible with common multimode connector types, supporting consistent optical performance when used with properly prepared fibre and connectors.

Suitable for

• Multimode optical patch panels and faceplates
• Optical distribution frames and splice enclosures
• Short-distance network links within data centers and telecom rooms
• Patch cord extensions and port duplication in LAN installations

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC to SC coupling for multi-mode fibres
• Pack quantity: single piece
• Colour: beige, suitable for multimode colour coding
• Form factor: single adapter module for panel or plate mounting
• Material: durable housing with internal alignment sleeve for ferrules

How to use

Insert the adapter into a compatible panel cut-out or snap it into a faceplate mount designed for SC couplers. Align the SC plugs from each patch cord with the adapter openings and push until a positive mechanical click or firm seating is felt, ensuring the ferrules make contact inside the alignment sleeve. For removal, depress the connector latch and withdraw the plug straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule endfaces. Clean connector endfaces before mating to maintain optimal optical performance.

Recommendations

Use with correctly prepared multimode fibres and compatible SC connectors; inspect and, if necessary, clean endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools prior to connection. Avoid bending fibres near the adapter beyond specified bend radii and protect the adapter from dust and mechanical stress when not in use by using dust caps or covering plates.
