Kuitukaapeli AOC BlueOptics AOC-SFP-25G-25M-BO — 25 m, SFP28–SFP28, uros

Direct-attach active optical cable BlueOptics AOC-SFP-25G-25M-BO is a 25 m fibre-optic link with SFP28 connectors at both ends. Engineered for 25 Gbps connectivity, this AOC provides a compact, low-latency connection between SFP28 ports in switches, servers and storage systems. The blue jacket improves identification and cable management in dense rack environments while preserving electrical isolation and signal integrity over longer runs than copper direct-attach alternatives.

Advantages

The BlueOptics AOC-SFP-25G-25M-BO combines the low power consumption and compact form factor of SFP28 transceivers with optical transmission advantages to deliver consistent 25 Gbit/s performance across a 25 m link. Its factory-terminated SFP28 interfaces simplify installation without field termination, and the colored jacket makes tracing and segregation of fibre runs in data centres straightforward. The active optical design supports low latency and reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper cabling.

Suitable for

• High-density switch-to-switch connections in data centres
• Server-to-switch uplinks requiring 25 Gbit/s bandwidth
• Storage network interconnects and SAN aggregation
• Racks and equipment where clear cable identification is needed

Key specifications

• Cable length: 25 m
• Connector type: SFP28 to SFP28, male
• Nominal data rate: 25 Gbit/s
• Cable type: active optical cable (AOC)
• Jacket colour: blue

How to use

Verify that both devices have compatible SFP28 ports and that firmware or device compatibility lists permit active optical cables. With equipment powered down or following hot-plug guidelines of the manufacturer, insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding port until it latches. Route the cable through rack pathways to avoid sharp bends; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer and avoid kinking. After installation, confirm link status and speed in the host devices and monitor for error indicators during initial operation.

Recommendations

Use the BlueOptics AOC-SFP-25G-25M-BO for short-to-medium length 25 Gbit/s links where low latency and EMI immunity are important. Store and handle the cable by the connector housings when possible, avoid tight bends near the connector, and keep the cable clean and free from tension. Check vendor documentation for supported platforms and any required transceiver settings before deployment.
